Advocate Nirmal Preet Singh Hira started his legal career with an internship with Maheshwari & Co., New Delhi where he carried out extensive research on Viber- it's legality in India and it's evidence, origin, acts, types with case laws and so on. He also researched on “ The public contracts (settlement of disputes) Bill, 2013 and on various aspects of Foreign Direct Investment between India and Africa.

He carried our a research on judgments to be delivered, prepared notes on current legal issues, attended court proceedings, researched on various areas of law including exemplary damages, specific reliefs, limitation act and service tax. He also interned in the International Human Rights Association in Punjab where he researched on child sexual abuse by near & dear ones in India and visited places to find out how the children are being kept at SOS Village in Rajpura in Punjab. He visited PGIMER in Chandigarh and worked on the project of children suffering with HIV/AIDS.
