13-Apr-2023 (In Recovery Law)

We have taken 6.5lakhs from neighbour providing car documents, empty bond papers signed, house documents which is in my mother-in-law name and empty cheques. Interest is 10% weekly. We paid them 13.3 lakhs partially in cash. The amount taken is on 21-04-2015. From then onwards we are paying weekly interest. On August 30 2015 we cleared everything...but no proof except phone message. We filed case against them in police station. But they sent lawyer notice as we have taken token amount from them as we r selling the house ...they typed on the empty bond n failed a case. what we have to do

Dear Quersit,
First of all reply to their legal notice bringing out the facts clearly and state that there is no Sale agreement at all and the same is forged by them. You can also file a police compliant again for forgery which is a serious offence. The interest you are paying is very huge, challenge that and file a suit and state that the interest charged is usurious and for a mandatory direction to them to give a discharge certificate.
