Less loan amount received charging interest on complete amount

The loan sanctioned to me was for 2 lakhs but a cheque given to me through a agent for Rs. one lakh sixty eight thousand only with out any recovery schedule and without any covering letter. All along I found and requested for correcting the loan amount and recovery instalment is based on 1,68,000/- only but they never accepted and informed my office, who intern charge sheeted me and suffered lot of mental recovery Bank managers are accepting verbally but not other wise . Please advise. Can I file a criminal case of cheating u/s 420.
