How to recover pending dues from a Client ?

I had supplied goods worth 50,000 to a client and took an advance of 10,000. I only have kacha chalan for this and there is no cheque or agreement for this. Now i have to chase him for the remaining payment, what can i do now?
You can file a criminal complaint for cheating u/s 420 of the Indian Penal Code. You can also file a civil recovery suit to recover the amount due and payable to you together with interest thereon from the date of the invoice till payment .
