Needed legal guidance to seek compensation for the accident

While riding my bike on highway bridge at Vashi I met with an accident. A car was parked on the bridge on the slope downwards, while trying to avoid it, my bike skid & went under the rear end of the car. There was oil spill in that patch where I applied the brakes. I was injured badly in this accident, majorly developing a fracture in my heel bone. I was taken to a nearby hospital by a passerby & given first aid there. My bike was taken to Vashi Police station. The next day I was informed by a policeman from there that the other party had filed a complaint of rash driving against me.
