FIR under IPC 376&506; lodged after 7 year when offense done

A 39 year old lady told at police officer a man continuously intercourse me last 7 year 20 november 2009 up to.27feb 2017 but I was not said to any one today lodege my FIR against him under IPC 376&'506 .she said in crpc 164 I known to his when I had fought crorporator election in 2009 when he was the district president of nationalist Congress party &I was Secretary with his he forcely intercourse with me up to 7 year .he also claimed me younger girl which is 6 year old he send me a notice through court so Iam come to police station & lodge a FIR.What should be done?

There is no limitation period for the court to take cognizance of a rape allegation. Although the delay in lodging the case will not vitiate the proceedings, nonetheless if the delay is not satisfactorily explained the allegations of the prosecutrix could become doubtful unless corroborated by some other substantive evidence.
