Fine charged by zoomcar for overspeeding is that legal
27-Jun-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Hello, I wanted to know if it is legal for zoomcar to charge a fine of Rs. 2500 for over speeding when using their cars. If so, can this be challenged in consumer court?
you will have to check the terms and conditions of the company which you signed the agreement with them at the time of taking the car from them. if it is mentioned then they are legally liable to charge you in case it is not mentioned then yes you can move to the consumer court for harassment. But in any case how can they know if your car was driven at a higher speed and the police did not know. the terms and conditions clauses are important
