Hello! In 2022, victim filed a complaint and FIR under section 498A, and the case is ongoing in the lower court with a government-provided Public Prosecutor. However, the respondents are prolonging the case, as the main accused is in abroad and the other accused is in India. Now, in 2024, they have filed a petition in the High Court under section 482 to quash the proceedings, and victim received a "show cause notice”. Should victim hire a lawyer? What's the process for victim exactly?

Iam subscriber of registered chit fund.participated chit auction on feb 2023.chit fund management not paid my prized amount.I was complained to chit fund registrar to hold fixed deposit amount furnished as security before starting chit group,and also requested to pay me out of security deposit holding by chit fund registrar.chit fund registrar replied me that he can pay chit amount to me if consumer forum direct him to do so.I want to know Consumer forum had powers to direct chits registrar.

hi for getting mutual divorce it would take atleast 6 months minimum time and if there id harassement in the meantime then you could file petition for domestic violence if there is harassement from him
