When do I have to pay 3 percent property value to the court

Hi I would like to know how long it would take to probate a properly registered will at Chennai High court and at what stage the 3 percent of the property value to be paid to the court? either at the time of filing the application for probate or after the procedures are over and the judge passes the order for probate?
No specific time can be given as it depends upon several factors due to which case may prolong. Initially you have to pay a court fee in case you are not in possession of the property you are seeking probate and once probate is granted you have to pay duty of your share.
