Mother in Law is alive whether my fathers in law's Will be considered

16-Mar-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)

My father-in-law had willed his ancestral property on my husband's name (only son & 3 sisters). My husband passed away and few months later my father-in-law also passed away. My mother-in-law is still alive and I have 2 children. Is my father-in-law's will still be considered? Who will inherit the property?

Assuming that you belong to a Hindu family, ancestral property cannot be distributed by way of will. In case of ancestral property, each heir has an equal right over such property.
