House Property Deemed Ownership exemption

05-Oct-2026 (In Tax Law)
If a father purchases a house in the name of his minor married daughter, she is treated as the deemed owner under the I.T Act. But suppose the property was given because her in-laws demanded it as dowry. Since child marriage and dowry are illegal, the persons involved may be punished. My concern is whether this tax provision indirectly benefits the in-laws by allowing them to enjoy the house, despite the underlying transaction being illegal. Does the I.T Act create such a indirect benefits.

for this you need to file a specific suit related to your property where after the courts order as you were minor at the time of marriage ad stated herein the court may order to return all the gifts and properties received from your side to you as marriage at the minor age is voidable
