Got letter from income tax authority to pay land tax

My mother sale a land at 1,14,000/- on 2013. Now at 2016 she got a letter from income tax department that she has to pay income tax on 4,00,000/-. What is the reason? What she should do?

Hello, are you based in Delhi ? If yes- Pls meet me with all the documents tomorrow and we can sort this out. Kindly bring the notice, the sale executed document and the tax returns for all the years. We can meet in CP. If you are not in Delhi- kindly scan and send me all the documents. Thanks
