You are generally allowed to put a political flag on your private car and drive around with it, as long as it doesn't block your view, cover the number plate, or interfere with the lights. There is no specific law that outright bans political flags on vehicles, but it’s important to use some common sense especially during elections or public gatherings when the police might be extra watchful. Just make sure the flag is small, placed properly, and doesn’t cause any trouble or attract the wrong kind of attention. Also, remember that the rules about the National Flag don’t apply here, those are separate. If it is done respectfully and doesn’t create a nuisance, you are unlikely to face any issue.
