We are an intra-city logistics service provider for businesses. We help businesses in delivering their goods to their customers on a parcel basis. We do the deliveries in vehicles like TATA ACE. Is it mandatory for us to have the invoice of each item that we transport? What are the other documents that we as a logistics provider need to have while delivering a customers goods?

Yes if the goods are new one, otherwise, the sales tax people may catch you for transporting goods without paying tax, and may charge you/or the owner of the goods for evasion of tax
