Formalities required to set up an entertainment website

Hi, My name is Fazal Khan and i want to set up an entertainment website related with bollywood, hollywood, sports, gadgets and technology.. So do i need any govt licence or permit for the same?
To set up a website all you need to have with yourself is the the website. As far as revenue and contents are concerned then you need to take permission from all those person/ entity/ organization whose film, episode, games etc you are going to upload on your website. Further based on the agreed revenue model you need to pay taxes to the government and all the money received as per the agreed revenue shall come through bank transactions only. You will have to quote your PAN card for all transactions and the GST registration as required.

We dont need any special govt. license etc. unless you are trying to bring in foreign funds. Need more details of business plan and investment to be able to advise properly. But be careful of what you use as content of the website as the same should not be in breach of IPR laws/ rights.
