Can I appoint a minor as the CEO of a startup?

21-Jul-2025 (In Startup Law)
As the title says, can i appoint a 17 year old as the CEO, it's a family business and both the parents are the sole founders/directors. The idea of the entire business is his but we just opened the business in his name since he wasn't old enough yet but now we are getting high-profile investors and it would be best if i could appoint my son as the CEO as he is the most knowledgeable in this business, he knows it inside out.

.As per Indian laws, a 17-year-old cannot be appointed as CEO of a company, as he is a minor and legally incompetent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. The Companies Act, 2013 also mandates that directors and key managerial personnel (KMP), including CEO, must be at least 18 years of age.
