Wife gave loan to her father not returning back can file case

I have two kids and wife also earning, Because of my father in law debt problem my wife has taken loan and helped him instead he is not ready to pay back Because of this i am facing lots of issues and at the same time this is causing pain get through with the relationship Hence decide to relieve the marriage bond so that she can take her path without involving myself. Also would like to file a FIR against Father in Laws name for recovery. Kindly suggest.
