Wanting of money from unknown contractor for payment of money?

I paid 10,000 to a contractor for building materials. After that he was nowhere to be found. I don't know where he lives. I only know his name and phone number. Can I get my money back?

You must make a written complaint to the Local Police Station for the offences of Cheating, Fraud and Criminal Breach of Trust with necessary details of payment made to the contractor and his details (whatever known) and insist for inquiry being conducted by Police Authorities and to lodge FIR.

File a police report for Cheating with concern police station where u reside and give all the details such as phone no. Etc in it. Police will locate that person and when he is arrested you may bargain for return of miney.
