Unable to attend Pre cognizance Notice hearing

22-Sep-2025 (In Recovery Law)
How many times are pre cognizance notices sent. What if you cannot attend the hearing due to receiving the notice late? Can the case be transferred to another city eg Kolkata to Mumbai?

Yes the cases can be transferred to the other City, but there are some restrictions that can either be transferred to the accused's Bank account jurisdiction or complainant's bank account jurisdiction, if you cannot attend the hearing due to the receiving of the notice you can be present physically on the next date, the pre-cognizance notice is only sent once after that issuance of summons and then arrest warrant.

Send Representation through Lawyer If personal attendance is not mandatory, your lawyer can appear on your behalf and inform the court about your inability to attend. 3. Submit Supporting Proof Courts usually require supporting documents (medical certificate, travel tickets, etc.) to consider your request genuine.
