Travel agent cheated us and sent us on a tourist visa. What to do?

One person took Rs. 70,000/- from us for providing a decent job in Dubai. He got a tourist visa and did not even get a good paying job. He cheated us. What action can we take against him?
You can initiate criminal proceeding against him u/s 420 under Indian Penal Code and other provisions. For that u have write a complaint to concern police officer for getting it registered as FIR. In addition to that u can invoke provisions of consumer protection act for compensation.

You can institute a suit for recovery before the Civil Court praying for recovery of the amount. There is also a cause of action for instituting criminal proceedings against this person. You can file a complaint to the police against this person.
