Took money for job now refusing what can I do

29-Jun-2023 (In Recovery Law)
An HR person from a well known company, offered me a job. And asked me to pay 3,00,000 as his charge. And i paid 40,000. For the amount i paid, he has given me the agreement and the 2 cheques (1,50,000+1,50,000). And now when he has failed to get me a job, he is not returning my money and files a complaint with police saying that he has lost the cheques and the agreement. please do help me out.

You can file a case of cheating and fraud against that person for wrongfully promising you to get you a job and asking for money in lieu of that.
To recover the amount that you have given to him, you can file a recovery suit, you need to prove through evidence that you have given money to that person.

Hi
You must go to the same police station and file a counter compliant stating the facts what happend and try to get a FIR registered. If you are not able to get the FIR registered, you must file a compliant under section 200 CRPC before the jurisdictional magistrate and file a sworn statement get the compliant registered and summons issued against that person.
