If a banking transaction has failed or an amount has been wrongly debited, immediately lodge a complaint through the bank's official grievance mechanism or your home branch and preserve the complaint reference number. If the Bank fails to resolve the grievance within the prescribed time or wrongly denies your claim, you may escalate the matter to the appropriate Banking Ombudsman/RBI grievance mechanism and, where warranted, initiate proceedings before the competent Consumer Commission. Preserve all transaction records, account statements, and communications, as they are essential to enforce your legal rights.
