Refund of course fees depends on the terms of admission, refund policy, and stage of withdrawal. Institutions often mention “non-refundable” clauses, but such clauses are not absolute if there is deficiency in service, misrepresentation, or unfair trade practice. If the course was cancelled, not conducted as promised, faculty or facilities were misrepresented, or you withdrew within a reasonable time without availing substantial services, you may claim refund. You should first send a legal notice demanding refund, citing unfair practice and violation of consumer rights. If they refuse, you can file a complaint before the Consumer Commission for refund, compensation, and costs. Keep admission form, fee receipts, prospectus, advertisements, and communication records. Chances of refund improve where the institution failed to provide promised services. Legal action is the proper remedy.
