Hi there, this appears to primarily be a consumer dispute; however, depending upon the facts and evidence, it may also give rise to allegations of criminal negligence. At the outset, it would be necessary to examine the condition of the medicines, the conversations/correspondence exchanged, and any photographs or videos available to determine the appropriate legal course and how the case should be framed. Based on the present information, and assuming that the medicines were indeed defective, damaged, expired, or otherwise unfit for use, you may consider filing a consumer complaint seeking a refund of the amount paid, along with appropriate compensation for mental harassment and other losses, if established. It is advisable to contact me and share the relevant details, photographs/videos, bills, prescriptions, and communications so that I can assess the matter properly and advise you on the appropriate remedy.

Dear Sir/Madam, I understand your concern, especially as these medicines are for your bedridden mother. Please share the invoices, payment records, WhatsApp messages and any proof that the shop accepted the returned medicines. I can review these documents and assist with a formal refund demand for ₹34,000 and appropriate further action. You may book a consultation through my profile to discuss the next steps. Adv. First of all rather than going legally you should serve him/her a legal notice and in that notice you can write that either pay my money or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he/she fails to give you a satisfactory reply then you can anytime file a recovery suit in the court to claim your money back along with compensations.

if the medicines were returned for a defect or any deficiency from the manufacturer or seller you are entitled to a refund. however if the medicines were returned due to a change of mind or unused medicines were sought to be returned the seller is not obligated to take them back and issue a refund

It depends on the things that whether you paid it online through UPI or you have paid in cash both ways whether you have paid in cash or UPI in both case you can approach to the consumer court. But as it is a minor issue it would be through on stage of notice through the advocate.
