Recovery matter. How to proceed ?

due to business treachery, I have a security cheque of 600,000 suppose to be paid as per agreement and I want to know the process and recovery measures through legal approach to initiate the submission of cheque in hand to bank and the later on follow up of recovery etc.

As per the facts provided by you, the said cheque is in your possession, now you need to send a legal notice to the said opposite party, after that if the said opposite party denies to comply with the same, you can deposit the cheque in the bank and encash it. Also, if the opposite party cancels the cheque or the cheque is bounced for any reason mentioned in section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, then you can file a criminal case against the opposite party for cheque bounce.
