Provision related to automatic disconnection of landline no

05-Sep-2023 (In Recovery Law)
I didnt disconnect my landline no but stopped using broadband services. I didn't pay the bill for a year. Now they say to pay 5500 for the whole period otherwise court case. I want to know is there a provision under the law for the companies to disconnect compulsory within 2-3 months if the bill amount hasn't been paid.

Well, it depends upon the policy and rules of the service provider. Most of service providers like BSNL and MTNL have the policy of disconnecting the landline services in case of non-payment of bill for 3 months (i.e. 90 days). You should go through the policy and rules of the service provider of your landline connection.
