Pre-cognizance appearance with settled loan

07-Nov-2025 (In Recovery Law)
I was issued a pre cognizance notice to appear in court for personal loan default. I have a court date in a week but i already settled the loan. Now the company lawyer says they will withdraw the case in the next court date. Do i need to worry about my representation in the court?

Since the loan has already been settled and the company lawyer has assured withdrawal of the case, there is no cause for concern. However, until the complainant formally files a withdrawal or compounding memo before the Court, you must ensure representation through an advocate or file a written statement enclosing proof of settlement and payment acknowledgment. The Court will then record the settlement and close the matter accordingly. Avoid non-appearance to prevent any ex-parte proceedings.
