Online financial fraud – ₹1,00,000 recovery and legal notice from Gurg

22-Oct-2025 (In Recovery Law)
Last year a person I met through Rapido convinced me to invest ₹1,00,000 in share market through him, promising monthly return of ₹20,000. After payment he stopped responding, kept giving fake excuses (father’s death etc.), and never returned the money. I have his Aadhaar, PAN, chats, and bank transaction proof. I live in Aurangabad (Bihar) and had a kidney transplant, so cannot travel. Please guide how to file legal notice or FIR in Gurgaon remotely.

Hi, I recently closed one case like this where a legal notice helped my client to recover his money without any follow-up. If you want to get help in recovering your money, please confirm if we can connect over the call and I will guide you accordingly with the procedure of sending legal notice. Also, I can share the legal notice on your behalf and you don't have to travel to Gurugram.

Send a legal notice and eventually file a case for money recovery. Facts need to be discussed and assessed as to what case needs to be made. You can get in touch and I’ll guide accordingly what to do next.

From the facts stated by you, it is clearly a case of financial fraud and cheating under criminal law, as the person intentionally deceived you by making false promises of high returns on share market investment and dishonestly misappropriated your money. Since you have supporting evidence such as Aadhaar, chat records, and bank transaction proof, these documents will play a vital role in proving the fraudulent intention of the accused. You are advised to immediately lodge an online FIR or e-complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell through the official Government portal cybercrime under Sections 318 of the BNS and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act. Mention all details, attach documents, and request registration of a case at Gurgaon, where the accused resides or operates. Since you are residing in Aurangabad (Bihar) and have medical limitations after your kidney transplant, you can authorize a close relative or lawyer in Gurgaon through a Power of Attorney to represent you for filing the complaint and pursuing the investigation. Additionally, you can send a legal notice to the accused through your advocate demanding refund of ₹1,00,000 within a specified period, failing which you may initiate civil recovery proceedings under the Code of Civil Procedure for recovery of money with interest and damages. Both civil and criminal remedies
