Not refunding the deposit I paid for my Pg accomodation of 3000/-

Hello Sir/Ma’am, I wanted to seek your legal advice regarding an issue with my previous PG accommodation. Around three months ago, I vacated the PG and was supposed to receive a refund of ₹3000 as my security deposit. Despite multiple follow-ups and reminders, the owner has still not returned the amount and is continuously delaying without giving any valid reason. I would like to understand what legal action I can take in this situation to recover my money. I have relevant proof such as paymen
