Based on those numbers, it's simply not possible to sustainably pay ₹1,00,000 in unsecured EMIs from a ₹47,500 salary. This is a financial crisis, not a personal failure. Regarding what you asked: No, suicide does not make the loan disappear in a simple way. Your family could still face legal, financial, or insurance-related issues depending on the type of loan, guarantors, and other circumstances. More importantly, there are legal and financial options that are far better than harming yourself. What you can do now: Stop taking any new loans to repay old ones. Contact each lender and explain your financial hardship. Ask about restructuring, settlement, or a revised repayment plan. Prioritize essential living expenses and your home loan if possible, while seeking professional advice on the unsecured debt. If recovery agents contact you, remember they cannot legally harass or threaten you.
