S.Gunasekar Advocate Answer. Let me explain carefully: NBW means Non-Bailable Warrant. It is a serious order issued by a court when a person fails to appear before the court despite being summoned. Now, since you said the bank informed you that NBW will be executed at your office, yes, it is possible. Police can come to your office to arrest you based on the NBW, because an NBW authorizes the police to immediately arrest the person wherever they find them — whether at home, office, or any other place. Important points: Police may come without prior notice and execute the warrant at your office. They are legally allowed to arrest you based on NBW unless you take urgent legal steps. What you should immediately do: 1. Contact a lawyer quickly. 2. File for cancellation of the NBW before the court which issued it. Your lawyer will help you with this. 3. Explain your situation (e.g., you did not intentionally avoid court, or you want to settle the loan) to get the warrant cancelled. If you act fast, you might avoid arrest. Courts usually cancel NBWs if a person comes willingly and gives a good reason. --- Would you like me to guide you on how the cancellation process works step-by-step? It’s urgent, so better you act today or tomorrow itself.
