Legal recourse in case US client is not paying for freelance writing

05-Jul-2023 (In Recovery Law)
I entered into a contract with a US Client for freelance writing. He was supposed to pay me on a weekly basis. But despite 3 weeks of working, he has not paid me anything. Also, he has threatened that if I do not reply to his emails then he will dispute all my funds and I will have to forfeit everything. The funds amount to GBP 878 or USD 1162. What recourse do I have? Even the freelancing website through whom I had got the contract is saying that since the US Client violated their website guidelines, they have cancelled his account. So they too seem to have put their hands up. What is the best recourse in such a situation?

As per instructions provided by you, that you entered into a contract with a US Client for freelance writing. And He was supposed to pay you on a weekly basis. But despite 3 weeks of working, he has not paid you anything.
In this situatin firstly have to go through the terms and conditions. And also see the clolum that if dispute occurs than which is the jurisdiction for litigation. Right now you can send a legal notice through Lawyer to US Client.

You can send him a legal notice and sue him for criminal breach of trust and fraud. Kindly forward me the contract signed between both of you in order to get more facts. I further want to know more terms and conditions of the contract for giving you more detailed advice. For any further clarification kindly book a consultancy call.
