Legal action for refund of school fees of children

my twins are 3 and a half years old and we took admission to nursery in maneckji cooper school , juhu by paying 48000/- each on 26/12/2017 ...now on first day of school we found that school bus takes at least 1.5 hrs and so we opted for cancellation of admission..the principal told us to give a written applcn , so we gave a written applcn on 5/4/2018 on the first day of school. but the principal is not agreeing to give a refund of school fees. are we within our legal rights to ask for refund.can you tell me the law which states that.
