Landlord refusing to return security deposit and additional rent

I had inadvertently deposited 1 month rent instead of 15 days during the last month of my stay during the notice period. Also landlord had 1 month of rent as security deposit. He is refusing to return even after sending him notice. What are my options now?
You can file a civil suit for recovery of money on the basis of agreement to sell after sending a legal notice to that effect. If interested, pls contact me with documents. Thank You. It shall stand recovered without any fetters
