How to recover money from a Ltd company

We have invested in a Ltd Co. We issued cheques to X Co. X Co. Issued cheques to us from Y Co. of 12% interest for 120 days. But since last 8 months they are not giving any money to us. It's a reputable organization and we didn't deposited cheques and didn't get cheques return memo from bank. Now how do we get our money back?
You can send a legal notice to the opposite party demanding the repayment of the said debt and if the opposite party still denies then, you can file a recovery suit in the said civil court claiming compensation for the same.
