how can I recover money from untraceable person

I lent money to a person and now he is not contactable and I don?t know where he lives. What to do?
You must file a complaint to the nearest police station regarding cheating showing that he vanished with your money and serve a copy of the complaint to that person via mail.
Thereafter it would be the job of the police to find him and take necessary actions against him.
Please note that you should have sufficient proof of lending the money to the person.
