got evicted from p and was mentally harassedand no refund

12-Feb-2026 (In Recovery Law)
. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against the management of my PG, for harassment, false accusations, illegal eviction, and refusal to refund my money. I had paid ₹1,30,000 out of the total yearly fee of ₹1,95,000, which included the security deposit. However, I was forced to leave after staying there for only two months and they refused my refund of the whole year

Serve a legal notice for recovery of dues and harassment. If they don't refund, file a consumer complaint for deficiency in service or a civil suit for recovery. Keep all payment receipts as proof as per the concerned provisions of law.

You have a valid claim for refund. If you were forced to vacate without any breach on your part, the PG management cannot forfeit the entire yearly amount. They can deduct only reasonable charges for the actual period of stay and proved damages, if any. Issue a legal notice demanding refund of proportionate rent and full security deposit within 15 days. If they fail, you may file a civil suit for recovery along with interest and costs. If harassment or criminal intimidation is involved, a police complaint can also be lodged. Preserve all payment receipts, agreement copy, and communication as evidence.
