Gave money to friend to repay hospital bills now refusing to payback

15-Jan-2023 (In Recovery Law)
A Friend of mine had came to me to help his dad who was in hospital. He asked me to help him and so my parents lend him Rs. 6,20,000. 5 months latter i had started my own business and had taken some equipments on rent which i had informed my friend he agreed to pay me the rent amount as well. 2.5yrs later i came to know that the money taken by my friend was used for other purpose he used it to buy a house, but unfortunately he was cheated by third person. Now after 3 yrs my friend just paid me 4,50,000 and says tht he will just pay 1,00,000 more. When i made him aware that i am paying rent at other place he is denying to pay. Infact his mother complained against me saying that i was harresing them and giving threats to them. She is also saying that she has returned full amount of money which she had taken. Infact she just returned me 4.5 lkhs. I told the same to the police who had called me down. (No paperwork i have only recordings of call.)

The response / answer is strictly legal. You can send your friend a legal notice demanding remainder of money within given period and if he fails to return then you will be constrained to take legal action. If he fails to return remaining amount within given time then you file recovery suit in civil court with all evidences you have proving he still owes you some amount.

You can file a civil recovery suit to recover the remaining amount. The said call recordings needs to be proved in the court of law. Kindly let me know if there any person or eye witness. You can also ask the concerned police station to take down your criminal complaint or to take cross complaint on record. For any further clarification and detailed line of action kindly book a consultancy call.
