friend took an amount and not returning

My friend asked me lend him for money, which he took in installment and the sub total amount was around 70000. i do have proof of online transactions . now he is clearly saying no to repay that amount, not even the half. how can i get my money back?
For this purpose we can send him a legal notice and in that legal notice will mention all the transactions you have made and ask him to return the same. He might return your money. Incase if he still do not returned your money then we can file a recovery suit before the Court.
