Family relative debt recovery problem loan of 10 lk.

I have given a family relative loan 100000 before 8 month through cheque. They promise to repay it after 2 moth but they refuse to make payment of the loan amount. There is more written document. 8 month completed but they refuses to make payment.
firstly, send the initial application letter and if the other party does not pay the amount then you can file a civil suit for the recovery of your damages as you the written document for the given loan.
