Delivery agent refused refund of double payment

11-Aug-2023 (In Recovery Law)
It was a Pay on Delivery order I asked delivery agent to send me the payment link instead he urged me to transfer the money to his personal bank account via UPII transferred ₹1,299 via PayTM but transaction was not successfulNow the agent can't leave the product with me and leave without payment. So I made a transaction of ₹1 from my other bank account just to check whether there's gonna be a problem again. It was successfulThen I transferred 1,298 and was successful immediately. So now I've paid double - ₹1,299 ₹1 ₹1,298 total of ₹2,598. I was promised to reimburse ₹1,299 if the 1st transaction is successful laterAt a later day, I contacted my bank to enquire about the failed transaction of ₹ 1,299 and my bank confirm me that the transaction is now successfulI contacted the delivery agent and asked him to refund the ₹1,299 but he kept saying he didn't received the amount and refuse to refund the amount of ₹1,299.

Hi if you can see two payments being made to the delivery boy being reflected in your statement without any reversal, send a screenshot of it to the delivery partner app and explain the situation to their customer care and seek a refund.

You can send the defaulter a legal notice regarding your grievances and in that notice you should write that either refund me my amount or face legal action. You can also approach the police station of your area regarding this. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
