u r co-borrower means u r signed the promisery notes/agreement of the bank at the time of loan documents. and co-borrowers assurance that the main borrower refund the loan. the main borrower is default the EMI therefore bank action against u as co-borrower and main borrower.
u have engaged counsel and conduct the matter properly. otherwise the court is passing the order against u and main borrower --- for severally and jointly refund the loan amount with interest. ur failed to comply the order. thereafter bank action against ur property for attachment.i.e. auction

Dear sir, as you said only name and number is given for guarantee. I must inform you that in order to make you liable you must have signed guarantee and only your name and number is not sufficient to make you liable. Actually no court makes any call to any party and only usual summons or notice will be sent to party for enforcing attendance. Therefore, do not heed to phone calls and do not ignore notice or summons from court.

As per the procedure, the courts do not give any calls to intimate you regarding filing of any case against you. May be, a process server wanted your proper address for service and hence called you ( this is also a less possibility). Right now, you need not take any steps till you get the actual process/summons from the court. But once you receive the summons, you need to appear before the court of law and present your appropriate defence in this regard.
