If you had given him the money more than 3 years ago and you have not yet initiated a suit for recovery you will not be able to claim the money back let alone any interest on it. Also, the medium by which you gave your friend the money is also an integral aspect in recovery of the money. If you gave him cash without any acknowledgement of an understanding it will be very difficult for you to prove your case.

Helo sir
You gave 7000 rupees to your freind but he never return yet till date. At that time you make any promissory note against that transaction ??? If not then insted of phone call you send him e mail then he replied to you . You got automattically evidence . And also lodge complaint in nearest police station then then he might of fear showing his readyness to return money. And filed recovery suit against your freind but it is quite expensive for civil suit as compared to money amount

few years ago i have given 7000/- rs. to frnd... and now he is not returning money.... and now i want my money back with interest... so please help me out from this worst situation..... and suppose if i file a case against him what is the percentage of winning case....
If you are given money on record through cheque you can send him legal notice and afterwards you can file suit you have good chances to win
