Co operative Bank asking for succession certificate without reason

I have 1 lakh rupees fixed deposit in nandini sahakari Bank in father's name.my name as nominee is registered in reciept and I have submitted my father's registered will in which it is clearly mentioned my name as nominee but still they are asking for succession certificate
you need to obtain probate for the will and then you may get all the assets transferred as per the wishes of the deceased mentioned in the will. you may show the same probate and transfer the amount from the bank.
