Cant pay credit card bill received legal notice from bank what to do

I was using a hdfc credit card but because of some circumstances I was unable to pay my amount, and today I have received a legal notice of advocate.. I don't want to pay coz I'm still unable, what should I do???
You can seek time to pay off the debt from the bank on your personal accord or reply to the Legal Notice seeking time to pay off the debt but the bank can proceed against you legally unless they through explicit consent allowing to more time to pay off the debt.
