Against Coercive Cash Payment Practices by Coaching Institute

08-Sep-2024 (In Recovery Law)
I enrolled in the English Special Batch at a coaching institute in Mukherjee Nagar and paid INR 14,000. Despite preferring online payment, the staff forced me to withdraw cash from an ATM. They refused my refund request due to irregular classes and poor management, claiming no action could be taken against them. I've filed a complaint with the Mukherjee Nagar Police Station, but no action has been taken. I seek your intervention to address these issues.

First of all rather than going legally you should serve him/her a legal notice and in that notice you can write that either pay my money or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he/she fails to give you a satisfactory reply then you can anytime file a recovery suit in the court to claim your money back along with compensations.

You need to send a legal notice to the institution where you were enrolled
They become duty bound to respond to any legal notice being sent to them as otherwisecsummon can be issued to them for not responding to a legal notice
