Wish to verify are my documents upto date for my society flat?

04-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
A flat in which I am currently living is registered jointly in my name and my father’s name. After my father expired on providing required documents my society transferred share certificate in my sole name from joint names. My question is, in future when I wish to sell this flat, are above documents enough or do we need to prepare any further documents? For your information: - In my father’s WILL he has gifted this flat to me. This WILL is not registered. - My mother is still alive. Please guide.

My Response to your query: If you obtained all necessary documents related to that property uou are free to sell that property. If any deficultey occurs you can take release or right from your mother. At present you are free to do transaction with respect of that property. Thank you

Dear Querist, if your name is added in share certificate then its perfect. But your mother or any other legal heir can object your legal entitlement. Because your mother as legal heir as right in the said flat. By the way, under will flat cannot be gifted, it must have bequeathed. It is suggested you can get the will certified from proper court of law. Regards, Rakesh V. Misar
