Will Father's Property be transferred to Only Daughter

Dear Sirs, If a Girl is the only daughter (single child) to her parents. And her father has a House property in Chennai, few bank accounts and FD deposits. I have heard that house change of registration to daughter's name is not required since the property will automatically come to the daughter. But, What is the best option that can be done ? 1) Is it necessary to write will and probate at court and register the will ? 2) Or best option is to get the house registered to daughter's name? 3) what about the Bank deposits and Fixed deposits ? Is it fine if the daughters name is updated as nominee?
