What to do in case money paid to builder and construction not started

10-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
I have booked one flat 2.5 yrs ago after paying 20% of total flat cost. But no construction work has been started yet. I have repeatedly asked the developer regarding delay of the construction work, but no satisfactory reply came from their side. What should I do?

Please contact me with the xerox copy of the booking agreement of the flat, money receipt and any written notice, if any. Termination & compensation clause needs to be scrutinized. Based on the booking agreement a legal notice needs to be served upon the developer giving him an ultimatum to either complete the construction work as stipulated under the booking agreement or refund your money within 14 days failing which he will be liable to pay interest at rate of 12%.

Such legal notice of demand needs to be prepared by a Advocate. You can contact me, if you want me to do this for you.

Dear client,
You can file a case against the developer before the consumer forum. There you can claim for your compensation. For that you need to meet a lawyer along with all the papers and documents.
