What to do if someone acquires our part of the land

Hi Sir, we have a land near to a private temple recently owners of temple land occupied a portion of our land stating that it belongs to their temple. I come to know that occupied is purely belongs to our land but the measurement surveyor gave a one side decision by getting the money, In order to prove it is our land we need documents of the land including Survey no and total area of the temple, Please advise.
If you have documents to prove the encroached portion is yours, file a suit for recovery of possession. Along with the suit file a petition to appoint a court commission to inspect the property and survey and demarcation of boundary with the assistance of taluk surveyer. If the documents says it is your property, court will order him to vacate the property and handover you.

If you are confident that according the documents in your possession that the property belongs to you, please arrange to file a title suit at the district court after arranging to issue a legal notice to the temple authority through your local lawyer.
